After a month off (sick, migraine, 8:30am Wednesday meeting x 2) I finally got back out to salsa night with LR. We had a great time as usual. I really need to practice spotting for super fast turns, I can make them, but I can’t spot so I end up dizzy and can’t do as many in a row. And I really want to be able to after watching one woman do turns nonstop as she also rotated around her partner, it looked really awesome.

April 24th – a friend’s father passed away. 
(I made cookies for him & emailed, but I still haven’t sent the physical card yet.)
My brother, pirate and I drove up to see papa for Memorial Day Weekend. It’s always good to spend time with papa & his wife, and they have a beautiful place with lots of wildlife.
May 2nd we went Cafe Italia for dinner and then to Iron Man to celebrate JP’s birthday. The movie was actually really enjoyable.

May 4th to celebrate Meow’s 40th we went to the Maker Faire in San Mateo. Lots of neat stuff to see, but I think once was enough for me (it usually is for any big crowded event type thing). I think we went to Koi Palace afterwards for Dim Sum. It was ok, but the place stank from all the different weird foods. I did find a new vegetable to love, the “Chinese broccoli,” the real name I can’t remember. Very tasty though!

Mother’s Day weekend we went home to Santa Rosa so I could spend the day with my mom. I’m not sure if that’s the weekend we went and took a tour of V. Sattui Winery. It was gorgeous but way out of our price range.
Helped MM move into his new place in the bay area at the end of May. Now that so many of my friends have moved to the bay already, I’m really looking forward to getting to join them.
