I'm pretty good at catching myself and cutting off the spiral, but my "favorite" version in school was: I'm gonna get a bad grade on this homework - I'm gonna fail this class - I'm going to fail school - I'll never get a good job cause I failed school - I'll end up poor and helpless and unhappy. Bleh! Reminding myself I can't predict the future helps. And so far not a single one of those worries came true! Thank you papa!
